Naoya Hatakeyama / Photographer (born in 1958)
Completed postgraduate studies at the University of Tsukuba, Mr. Hatakeyama became the recipient of the 22nd Kimura Ihei Memorial Photography Award in 1997 for the photo book "LIME WORKS" and the exhibition "Maquettes". In 2001, Hatakeyama participated in the Venice Biennale, and received the 42nd Mainichi Award of Art for the photo book "Underground" in the same year. Hatakeyama consistently works on the issue of modernity and the city.
Yoshitaka Mouri / Associate Professor of Media Department of Musical
Creativity and the Environment Tokyo University of the Arts, Sociologist (born in 1963)
Completed Ph.D., Sociology at Goldsmiths College, University of London, Mr. Mouri specializes in Sociology and Cultural Studies. He wrote and gave numerous lectures on the articulation of contemporary art and urban space, and cross-cultural studies. Mouri's main publications are "Culture=Politics: Cultural and Political Movement in the Age of Globalization (Bunka-Seiji)" (Getsuyo-sha), "Popular Music and Capitalism"(Serikashobo), and the forthcoming "Philosophy in the Streets" (Japan Broadcast Publishing Co.,Ltd).
