Kazuko Koike / Creative Director

Graduated from School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Waseda University, Koike is an advisory board of MUJI since its establishment, and Honorary Professor of Musashino Art University. She was the founder and director of the first alternative art space in Japan, Sagacho Exhibit Space (1983-2000), and introduced a number of emerging contemporary artists to the international art scene. In 2009, Koike curated the "Exhibition INTERVALLO, intervals in-between art, fashion and design" at BankART Studio NYK in Yokohama. She was the editor of the book "ISSEY MIYAKE East Meets West" (Heibonsha), and published "Kukan no Aura" (Hakusuisha) in 1992.



Masami Shiraishi / Director of SCAI THE BATHHOUSE
(born in 1948)


Graduated from Keio University (Aesthetics and Art History), Mr. Shiraishi founded Shiraishi Contemporary Art Inc. in 1989. Shiraishi was the deputy director of the Touko Museum of Contemporary Art from 1989 to 1991. In 1992, he contributed to the establishment of the first Japanese international contemporary art fair, NICAF (International Contemporary Art Festival, Japan). Shiraishi has organized numerous solo exhibitions of international established artists as well as introducing performance and experimental arts. He is also involved in many public art projects.
