Despite of the abundant overflowing commodity, service and information in Tokyo, have you ever felt “what if these things are different to make it better”? Tokyo Art School focuses on needs in Tokyo and ways to change the city for the better. To starts, series of lectures inviting Tokyo related artists, researchers and entrepreneurs are held to reassess the city from various perspectives. They will discuss Tokyo’s culture, history and its activities, hoping to inspire your imagination and creativity. We believe the ability to alter Tokyo better resides in each of you. What is AIT?
Since being founded in 2001 by six curators and arts organizers, the non profit organization AIT has consistently created innovative programs such as the MAD art school,Tokyo's first systematic artist in residence program and experimental curatorial projects.
