About Central East Tokyo

Central East Tokyo(CET), the annual composite festival of art, design and architecture, was launched in 2003 by the members who also work as creators. The event has had a lot of participation of artists, creators, interns and local volunteers, and ran for 10 days in every late autumn. CET is the cross-genre experiment to regenerate hollowed urban spaces emerged in the crevice of major commercial development. Since 2006, the direction of the event shifted from transient to more daily, and community based activity. Inviting artist studios, galleries, shops and offices, CET strives to develop a unique and exciting neighborhood.
