Guru Guru Ya→Mi→Project

The Yanaka district of the Taito Ward is an area known in recent years for its vibrant old-town atmosphere, as well as a number of projects to preserve galleries and local resources. The Guru Guru Ya→Mi→Project includes a number of projects conducted by people who have been inspired by the charm of the area.

In June 2010, the activity space “Hacchi” opened in Nezu. It runs a number of programs including “Art Consultation Project.” February 2011 marks the beginning of the Guru Guru Mix, a joint project with the Taito Hatsune Kindergarten, aimed at providing a link between children and their local area. Together, the artist Kimuratoshirojinjin and the children will develop a new play activity based on cultural exchange between the area and the people of Yanaka.
