Outline

“TACT” consists of the initial letters of “Theatre Arts for Children and Teens.”
“TACT” conveys three meanings:

1. Adroitness (to gain the audience’s attention), resourcefulness, and (performance with) quick wit!
2. Touch and feel (bringing the audience closer to the stage)!
3. Perceptiveness to determine suitability, and (performance with) aesthetic beauty!

These three meanings are projected through the superb stage production brought to you from abroad. This is why this festival is named “TACT.”

The stage performance will be presented at 5 locations around Japan, including Biwako, Osaka, Matsumoto, and Tokyo. The Tokyo performance will take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space.

The participating theater companies, among of the world’s best, are invited to give performances at festivals around the world. In this summer festival, children, together with their parents, will enjoy both the stage performances and workshops given by the performers.
Feel the very breath of the artists as they perform right before your eyes their imaginative, expressionistic plays, dance, and live music.

The brand - new sensational performance presented by two percussionists and two dancers.
How can the sounds of percussion dance? What is it like to hear the sound of dancing? It has given birth to the new sensational dance you can feel with ears by establishing an equal relationship between percussion and dance in which the dancers develop their own sense of music and the music emphasizes their own movement. It whispers gently sometimes and it sounds quite loud from time to time, and it is like a carnival once in a while, but still it remains in the dreamy world.
